3 Products you NEED series #2

Posted 11 October 2019

Welcome to the next installment of my 3 products blog. This month I’m focusing on 3 products which will give you the skin of your dreams with ease and without breaking the bank. I use these products in my routine regularly and I am never disappointed with the result. I’d love to hear your feedback though so if you’ve given something I’ve recommended a try or you have any questions about how I use a product please feel free to get in touch here anytime.

To Save Face SPF 30

Summer is just around the corner but let’s face it, if we really want to stop one of the major contributors to the ageing process we need to be wearing sunscreen every day! Enter Mecca Cosmetica To Save Face SPF 30 sunscreen. I’ll be honest I’m not a big fan of sunscreens in general. I don’t like the smell the texture or the feeling of it on my face or skin. And I have certainly never worn it under my makeup! This ingenious option from Mecca solves all the things I dislike about sunscreen in one clever little tube. It has a pleasant fragrance, a smooth lightweight texture and it isn’t greasy or thick. It doesn’t dry out my sensitive skin and my hormonal redness which is aggravated by so many other sunscreens isn’t bothered by it either. To Save Face leaves bare skin looking luminous and glowing whilst under makeup it is undetectable. It also comes in an SPF 50 for those alabaster complexions. There is now no excuse to expose your face and skin to those youth stealing UV rays this summer.

Nars The Multiple – South Beach

This cult favourite has become a staple in my 5 minute makeup routine. It’s easy to use and adds instant glow and warmth to your skin. The Multiples come in a range of colours, I also have the shade Orgasm in my kit which is a wonderful blush for mature age skin. The beautiful creamy texture can be applied straight from the tube onto the skin which is how I tend to do it, or onto your fingers to pat and build colour and glow gradually. Once I’ve streaked the colour over my cheekbones, temples and sometimes the bridge of my nose, I use my foundation brush to buff it in for a seamless finish which lasts all day. I’m often asked how I make my skin glow when I’m wearing this and it is a simple way to add warmth and wake up tired looking skin. The cream texture is also extremely flattering for mature skin. If you’d like to see if The Multiples are for you, Mecca often have them available in Mini sets for a cheaper option.

Go-To Transformazing Sheet Mask

I don’t really have a lot of time in my getting ready schedule for applying masks. I look at beauty bloggers who have tried sheet masks and sleep masks and the masks that need to be massaged in with some sort of LED device and think…. Yeah, nah! But there was something about Zoe Foster-Blakes Go-To range that had me wanting to experiment with the latest craze. And at $9.95, or $45 for 6, the Transformazing mask was exceptional value. This mask is packed with serums and ingredients like Kakadu Plum and Finger Lime and as you smooth the sheet onto your face you can actually feel the goodness absorbing. It’s not a “I’m home on a Friday night, think I’ll have a glass of wine and do a mask” mask. It’s a “I’ve got a big night out where I need to look gorgeous and I’ve been up all night with the baby” mask. If you do this mask and go to bed you are seriously wasting the absolute treat your skin is going to look when you’re done! Apply it as per the instructions so make sure you allow ample time in your getting ready routine to do this. Once the 10-15 minutes has elapsed, remove the mask and take time to massage and pat in all the serumy gold that is left behind. Then apply your usual makeup routine and enjoy the splendid, glowy skin that is yours to blind the world with. If you don’t have at least 5 people comment on your skin and how much younger you look then you can’t have needed it in the first place!
